charming historic hotel experience
clean hotel original elevator fantastic bar
i found the hotel to be super clean. the original elevator from 1913 was a cool feature, though some might find it unconventional. the restaurant and rooftop bar both impressed me!!!
i experienced street noise and traffic sounds quite late into the night. the walls and windows didn't block outside noise effectively.

the standard room was comfortable and cute, perfect for a couple's mini trip. it was very clean, and the bed provided a very good night's sleep. amenities included fresh towels and toiletries daily.

the hotel had a caged elevator, original to the 1913 building. this adds a unique touch to the historic hotel. there's also a restaurant and a rooftop bar with city views.

every staff member was easy to talk to and very helpful. they offered assistance with bags given the unique elevator situation. the front desk was always available to answer questions.

french cafe front desk
the restaurant being next to the lobby was really convenient. it was like a french cafe. front desk service was great and efficient.
The vintage elevator was impractical at times. It moved slowly.

decent stay, some minor issues
friendly staff clean room timely valet impractical elevator heavy door loud noise
The hotel staff was friendly. our room was very clean, and we had great sheets and towels. valet was timely with the bags, and our car was ready when we asked for it. i loved the french inspired bistro next door. It was convenient and fun with good cocktails too.
the elevators are very impractical. they're over 100 years old, so i had to pull open a heavy door. then i had to slide open a heavy gate. this seems like a safety hazard for fingers, imo. it was also loud due to what i think could be some exhaust or exterior air conditioning unit.
